When to use
- Life-threatening digoxin toxicity (dysrhythmia, potassium above 5, end-organ dysfunction).
Pearls and pitfalls
- Empiric: acute 10 vials; chronic 3–6 vials (adults).
- Levels after Fab are not interpretable with most assays.
- Each vial binds about 0.5 mg digoxin.
