ClinDose inside your EHR

Clinicians open ClinDose from a patient's chart and every calculator is already filled in with that patient's age, sex, weight, height, and creatinine, each showing the date it was charted.

Built on the SMART on FHIR open standard supported by Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH Expanse, athenahealth, and others. ClinDose is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies; each organization enables the app through its own EHR administration.

No PHI on ClinDose serversThe app runs in the clinician's browser. Chart data goes from your FHIR server to that browser tab only and is cleared when the tab closes.
Read-only, minimum dataFive values for calculation, plus the patient's name so the clinician can confirm the right chart. Nothing is written back.
Every value is traceableEach imported value shows its charted date, and the clinician can override any value for the calculation.

How a launch works

  1. The clinician opens ClinDose from the patient's chart (an activity, tab, or link configured by your EHR team).
  2. The EHR sends ClinDose to its sign-in server, which grants read access to that one patient. No passwords are entered in ClinDose.
  3. ClinDose reads the patient's latest weight, height, and serum creatinine and fills every calculator.
  4. When the tab closes, the imported values and access token are discarded.

Setting it up in your EHR

  • Epic: register ClinDose as a SMART on FHIR app through Epic's developer program for your organization, then configure it as an activity or link in Hyperspace.
  • Oracle Health (Cerner): register in the Oracle Health developer console and enable the app for your Millennium domain.
  • MEDITECH Expanse: enable through MEDITECH's SMART app support for your organization.

We provide the client ID per organization and add your EHR's web origin to ClinDose's allowlist so it can be embedded. Contact api@clindose.com.
