Preparation and administration
Important Administration Instructions Administer methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets orally once daily in the morning with or without food. Swallow methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets whole with liquids. Do not split, crush, or chew the extended-release tablets because doing so will compromise the extended-release characteristics of methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets and may compromise the effectiveness or safety of methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets.
