Pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy

Pregnancy:

Lactation

Nursing Mothers - It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when butoconazole nitrate is administered to a nursing woman.

Breastfeeding (LactMed)

Vaginal butoconazole has not been studied during breastfeeding. About 5.5% of a vaginal dose is absorbed and its plasma half-life is 21 to 24 hours. Because there is no published experience with butoconazole during breastfeeding, other agents may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.

These are not what a patient pays at the pharmacy counter. They are what pharmacies, health plans, and government buyers pay, before manufacturer rebates. A patient's cost depends on their insurance (copay, coinsurance, or deductible) or the pharmacy's cash price.
